While we have been limited with the size of the kitchenette in
the Croft, we have not scrimped on its fittings. We have supplied you
with enough crockery, cutlery, and glasses for 2 people, as well as pans, bowls
and ovenware. We have installed an instant heating water tap, as well as a
quick boil kettle, toaster, Combination Microwave/Convection Oven-and-Grill, a
single induction hob, 4 litre Air Fryer, a large under counter fridge with ice box, Steam Iron and Ironing board, and one of our
favourite appliances – ‘Bob’ the countertop dishwasher.
The bedroom and lounge have been furnished to provide a sense of comfort while wrapping you in a relaxing homely feel.
The table under the television has a top that lifts to create a desk, or a table, closer to the sofa. Inside you will find a Backgammon Set, Playing Cards and Compendium of 100 Classic Board Games. On the table you will find a large selection of leaflets detailing local activities and attractions as well as a comprehensive Croft visitors information guide. We have also supplied an extensive selection of guide books that can be found on the shelf in the kitchenette.
We have also supplied a Nescafe Dolce Gusto Mini coffee maker, complete with a selection of pods.
Both the kitchen and the lounge have Eco electric radiators fitted to the wall.
For your privacy, the windows are fitted with a safety lock to prevent them from being opened too wide. A specialised film has also been added to the windows at the front that creates a mirror effect when viewed from the outside. However, this does not restrict your view from inside.
The roof windows are fitted with black-out blinds and all other windows have been fitted with home-made bespoke black-out roman blinds.
The shower room has been furnished and styled, with luxury in mind. The shower enclosure is large and roomy, and we have installed a high quality Mira Shower with dual heads. The vanity unit has a large bowl sink and we have included an illuminated mirror that has a demister function and an electrically heated towel radiator. We have supplied hotel quality, thick fluffy bath, hand and face towels and for those that need a hairdryer, this has not been forgotten.

We have also supplied an Alexa Echo Dot, with a subscription to music unlimited.
The Croft is a Non-Smoking holiday home. We kindly ask all of our guests to smoke or vape outside the Croft with the door and windows closed please.
The Croft is fitted with linked heat and smoke alarms, meeting current Scottish Government Standards. The heat alarm is in the kitchen and the smoke alarm is in the bedroom. If either alarm is activated both alarms will sound together.
We have also provided a powder fire extinguisher that can be found in the Kitchen next to the bedroom door. Emergency Exit lighting has been fitted in the kitchen to sign post the exit.
Evacuation and Fire Safety instructions can be found in a frame on the wall in the Kitchenette as well as in the guest information guide.
The Croft is a dog friendly holiday home for up to a maximum of two dogs. We have two very friendly huskies ourselves and know how much it means to have them join you on holiday. Unlike many other holiday homes, we do not request any additional charge for dogs. We only ask that you notify us at the time of booking of your intention to bring your dog, and how many you may be sharing the Croft with.
We kindly ask that guests do not leave your dog in the Croft unattended at any time. These are unfamiliar surroundings for them and may cause them unnecessary anxiety. We do however understand that you may want to go out for a meal or trip and not take them with you. Please speak to us in advance and we can arrange to look after your dog for you, if this is only for a few hours we may be happy to forego any charge. If, however, you need a dog sitting service for longer than a few hours, we are happy to discuss this in advance and agree a fee. The only caveat to this is that your dog must be socialised and happy to be around other dogs.

You will not doubt have noticed that we have not been able to fit a washing machine into the Croft.
If you are staying with us for any length of time and do wish to have your clothes laundered, there is an excellent laundry nearby. This can be found on the Speyside Gardens Caravan Park. The Laundry is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It is an unattended, self-service coin operated Laundry.
